ERNEST GAUSE takes a "leads by example," always striving to bring out the best in others by allowing them to bring their vision and makes it reality through partnerships and sound strategy development. Ernest is distinguished by his ability to identify, leverage and develop talent. He works with leaders, peers, and subordinates to position them for success. He is a problem-solver who brings solutions to issues. With his strategic thinking, technology background and a process improvement mindset, he leverages relationships and resources to maximize human capital potential to deliver growth, engagement/ productivity and a value proposition that employees can own.

Currently, Ernest serves as VP of HR Operations for an HR consulting firm, specializing in operations, talent management and compliance.  Ernest works directly with the leadership team to create strategies around organizational design to drive business results.  A transformational leader that delivers results in talent management, HRIS implementation, HR analytics and in key performance metrics. His projects have led to 100% visibility in training and performance management across the US, Canada and Puerto Rico. A university professor with 20 years of teaching experience in human resources, management and leadership. 

 

Previously, as Director of HR and Compliance, Ernest led the strategic business initiative of integrating Strategic HRBPs within the business units of Luxottica Retail, a 10 billion, Milan based multi-channel business.  During this time, he designed, led and implemented a reporting and analytics system that directly impacted all 7 business units, created visibility into sales training, on-boarding and performance management.  Ernest also led training initiatives that resulted in cost savings of 3 million and $200,000 annually.  Ernest experienced consistent career growth through the years by promotions that focused on talent management, training and process improvement.  He began his career in training and development at CompUSA.

 

Ernest holds 4 degrees: 2 – Master’s Degrees and 2- Bachelor degrees in business and technology.  He received his Master’s Degree in business from Bellevue University and his Master’s in Management Information Systems from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.  His 2 undergraduate degrees are from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in business and information technology.  Ernest is a Six Sigma Black Belt and has 3 CompTIA certifications in A+, network+ and is a Microsoft Certified Professional.  He is currently a board member of the National Associate of African-Americans in Human Resources.
